From 3 to 21 May, Bressanone once again shone in bright colours and lights at the Water Light Festival. But there is much more behind the atmospheric installations and works of art: the focus of the festival is to draw attention to the loving treatment of nature, to create more sensitivity for sustainability in everyday life in our traditions and values.

This year we were allowed to support this special festival and contribute with an installation. "Underworld", the project by artist Aleksandra Stratimirovic was created with the aim of drawing attention to the delicate marine life and its fragile environment. It is inspired by the small Swedish fishing town of SmΓΆgen, its very specific marine environment and the significant commitment of the local community to the preservation of the marine environment. The "SotenΓ€s Marine Recycling Centre" takes care of discarded fishing gear, ghost nets and plastic in the sea collected from coasts all over Sweden. The artwork is created from the discarded fishing materials collected from the seabed as part of this initiative to clean up the sea.
