A stylisch entrance to the Teis Mineral Museum

A stylisch entrance to the Teis Mineral Museum

Challenge

The challenge was to incorporate the Teiser Kugel into the metal while paying attention to the smallest details throughout the museum. The floating roof, which floats from the outside inwards, was the highlight.

Material, processing, special feature in detail

Façade: ISO glazing flush with floor and ceiling with integrated revolving door.
Steel construction and sheet metal body made of galvanised and powder-coated steel
Sample wall made of powder-coated stainless steel sheet.

The finished solution

The complete renovation of the mineral museum in Teis. A glass façade to ensure that the museum has plenty of light. The corresponding entrance door. The floating roof that runs from the outside inwards. A mirror in the shape of a “Teiser Kugel” with laser-cut metal. The glass balustrade, which is also used as a privacy screen. Laser-cut sample wall as an eye-catcher in front of the glass façade.

Weico’s impressions

The project was complex in details which is probably why our team got very enthusiastic.
